Such a great weekend!

I had the pleasure of attending an anniversary celebration for the wonderful gals at Scrapbook Generation this Saturday! I've been a customer of theirs since they have opened and had the extreme pleasure of teaching classes at the store while a member of the Design Team. They are all near and dear to my heart. They each received a custom 2 strand bracelet in the store colors and they were kind enough to let me stop by and take pictures for the site. However, my camera didn't cooperate so I will post them as soon as I get a copy from the gals at the store. If you are a crafting kind of person, stop by and tell them Jennifer sent you!

In other news, I've spent the weekend making tons of items and we are pleased to announce that the Etsy shop will be up this week!! We are so excited that we can hardly contain ourselves! I finished 11 binky clips, 3 rings, 4 sets of hair pins, 1 cell phone charm/key ring, 1 lanyard and 2 Twilight inspired bookmarks! We will have pictures later on today and stop by and check on Etsy to see the shop as soon as it opens!

An everyday bracelet

I have a confession. As much as I love color, I wear a lot of neutral colors for my grown up, day job. I needed something that worked with almost everything that I wear. So I dismissed the birthstone colors and went for a great gold, brown, topaz color scheme that is divine! I can wear it every day. What do you think? I think I may be doing a black and grey one later...

Christmas is coming!

Can you believe that someone had the audacity to tell me there are only 72 days till Christmas? Where did the year go already? I'd like to say I was all ready for Christmas and the shopping was done, but that couldn't be further from the truth. The truth is that Kristen and I are as happy as we can be about the fact that Christmas orders are coming in already and we feel like Santa's elves making all these great pieces for such wonderful people. Here are a few examples of the items that we are introducing.

We are currently adding rings to the list of gorgeous items we make. They have a great sparkle that gets lots of attention and when you wear it with a custom bracelet, it's all the bling you'll need! There are also great stocking stuffers. As always, pick your color and we can do the rest! Check back soon and you'll find lanyards to hold you work badge or school ID in style! These have been a huge hit as teachers gifts. We can do school colors, or awareness colors or whatever color combo you would like. If your a nurse, we can even add a watch to your lanyard to help make your job easier and your scrubs more beautiful!

The item that I'm most excited about is the new custom beaded bookmark!

These are a wonderful gift for your favorite reader or we can make one to match your favorite series. (Any Twilight or Harry Potter readers out there?) You can

have one made in Gryffindor Gold and Burgundy or maybe one with an initial charm on it so that everyone knows it's yours! Each charm is handmade from individual beads and perfectly placed on your bookmark. At $15 buying for teachers and co-workers just got A LOT easier on the wallet! My name is Jennifer Mattix and together with my friend Kristen McDowell, we are very please to bring you our custom jewelry creations! This venture is birthed in love and creativity (and a secret desire to leave corporate America some day. Shhh!) We specialize in Mothers/Grandmothers name bracelets, beaded binky clips for girls AND boys, and baby bracelets but that's NOT where we stop! We are also doing custom baby shower and bridal shower gifts, beaded book marks and repurposing older vintage and heirloom pieces that need new life. This is an ALS/AIDS awareness bracelet. If you have a loved one

that you want to celebrate or honor we will donate 10% of the total cost of your piece to that foundation!

We also do team/sports bracelets. We can add charms for your sport at your request. Out fit the entire cheer squad or just the Senior's Moms, but it's a lovely way to show your school pride.

Maybe you're not the

glitzy girl? That's okay too. We can fit your style. We can even add special beads that you have and would like to be incorporated into your piece. Perhaps beads from a Grandmothers wedding dress or a necklace that your Mother wore as a kind. We can do that too.

And we haven't forgotten the little ones either. We can do beaded binky clips for girls AND boys (the little man should have great stuff too) We can do everything from lampwork beads to Czech glass or Swarovski Crystal for your baby. Just let us know the color, theme or name that you would like.
